Thank you for taking the time to explore my website. I appreciate your initiative in seeking support during life’s challenges. Acknowledging the need for assistance is a crucial step that many find difficult.

KLP Hanoi Counseling was set up to provide a safe space for you to discover your true self and embrace life to the fullest. Together, we will gently reclaim parts of yourself that may have been lost, silenced, or exiled. I am dedicated to offering the support necessary to make this journey as safe and comfortable as possible.

Professional Background: I earned my master’s and post-master’s (Educational Specialist) degrees in Professional Counseling at Seton Hall University in the USA. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to upholding the American Counseling Association’s Codes of Ethics. To stay current and continually enhance my skills, I regularly attend training sessions.

Although I am originally from Hanoi, I have spent nearly two decades overseas, providing therapy in diverse settings such as international schools, rehabilitation centers, and mental health clinics across different countries. These experiences have equipped me to effectively work with clients of all ages, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues from stress and anger management, relationship issues to more serious disorders like personality disorders, ADHD, OCD, and addictions.

Using a holistic approach, I integrate components of different therapy approaches based on clients’ needs. In addition to EMDR therapy and Internal Family Systems therapy, I use Reality Therapy, play and art therapy, CBT, among others.

I have a particular interest in helping individuals break free from their past, whether it’s trauma like PTSD or less apparent experiences. If you’re facing challenges in overcoming current issues, exploring the combined effectiveness of EMDR and IFS might be worthwhile.

A Bit of Fun Facts About Me: In my childhood, I believed I lacked time for play and had no talent for sports, often facing ridicule. However, in my 30s, I discovered a passion for golf, appreciating not just the exercise but also the importance of maintaining a positive mindset. This experience opened doors for me to enjoy various other sports such as tennis, swimming, table tennis, and basketball.

Nature is a significant source of energy for me, and I find tremendous therapeutic value in gardening, cooking, and being in the forest or on the beach.

I look forward to meeting with you.
